Building Performance Engineer - Brisbane, QLD

We are seeking a skilled Building Performance Engineer to manage the remote monitoring and optimisation of BMS and building performance systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, data analysis, and working with advanced automation technologies.

As a Building Performance Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring optimal building efficiency, diagnosing system issues, and providing remote support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

◆ Remote Monitoring: Continuously monitor BMS and building performance data to identify inefficiencies and faults. 

◆ Alarm Management & Response: Analyse system alerts, diagnose issues, and coordinate resolutions with onsite teams. 

◆ System Optimisation: Adjust control parameters and setpoints to enhance building efficiency and occupant comfort. 

◆ Client Support: Provide real-time assistance and guidance to clients on BMS-related queries. 

◆ Reporting & Analysis: Generate performance reports, analyse trends, and recommend energy-saving solutions. 

◆ Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all operations align with industry standards, energy efficiency guidelines, and client requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

◈ Education & Technical Background:

• Qualification in Building Services, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with BMS platforms such as Niagara, Schneider, Tridium, or Trend is highly regarded.

• Previous experience in a remote monitoring, BMS, or building automation role.

• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to interpret BMS data, alarms, and control strategies.

• Familiarity with industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LONworks. 

◈ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve system inefficiencies. ◈ Communication & Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients. ◈ Additional: Flexibility to work in a shift-based or rotating schedule if required.
